When our son started working with Ashley in Year 7, he was one of the lowest readers and writers in his class due to dyslexia. Reading was a struggle, spelling felt impossible, and writing more than a few sentences was overwhelming for him.
Ashley used a structured, evidence-based Orton-Gillingham approach to teach him the rules of reading and spelling in a way that finally made sense. She broke everything down into manageable steps, giving him the confidence and skills he had been missing.
Over time, we watched an incredible transformation. He went from avoiding reading altogether to being able to read books at his own level independently. His spelling has improved dramatically, and he can now write stories and essays with confidence, something we never imagined would be possible when we first started.
Ashley is patient, knowledgeable, and truly understands how to teach children with dyslexia. She doesn't just improve literacy skills; she builds confidence and helps children believe in their own abilities. We are so grateful for everything she has done for our son and would highly recommend her to any family looking for specialist literacy support.
