When our son started working with Ashley in Year 7, he struggled with reading, spelling, and writing. We knew he needed support, but we never imagined how much progress he would make.

What amazed us the most was the transformation in his writing. We couldn't believe the quality of the stories and essays he was producing or the sophisticated vocabulary he was using. Ashley explicitly taught him how the English language works, including prefixes, suffixes, spelling rules, and word structure, and it completely changed the way he approached reading and writing.

His confidence has grown enormously. He can now read books appropriate for his age and ability, and instead of avoiding writing tasks, he approaches them with confidence. Seeing him independently plan and write well-structured pieces of work using vocabulary we never expected him to know has been incredible.
